Teen Mom favourites Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell, step-siblings who famously had their daughter adopted despite protestations from their families and always seemed to be the most grounded of the couples, were long ago confirmed to appear on Couples Therapy (besting adult star Farrah Abraham who tried to hire a fake boyfriend to appear on the same show). But now there’s an extended look at the couple’s real issues with their relationship and one another. And it’s more dire than fans first thought.
Unlike last season that was replete with attention-seekers like Courtney Stodden and Dough Hutchison who pretended to have marital problems for screen time—even being overheard plotting to pull focus—in hopes of landing their own show, this season’s couple’s seem pretty far gone.
In this five-minute video from VH1, Baltierra and Lowell spend most of their time apart, crying, sulking, and wondering why they’re still together. “Sometimes, I feel like I should’ve just left her and been done with it,” Baltierra says.
“I don’t know if I’m ready to be married,” he tells Lowell. “That’s why we’re here.”
“You don’t know if you want to be with me for the rest of your life?” asks Lowell. “No, I don’t know,” her beau replies. “Just leave me alone for a while,” she snaps back.
Couples Therapy premieres June 12 on VH1.
