Tyra Banks Confirms Sequel To Lindsay Lohan Television Movie From 12 Years Ago
November 27, 2012 by Hollywoodite
Tyra Banks tried to get into music a few years back with the release of Shake Ya Body and, before that, she made an attempt at acting with a Disney television movie about preteen Lindsay Lohan whose doll comes to life which isn’t supposed to be creepy nor scary at all. And aside from a few cameos on the likes of Gossip Girl, that was really it for her “acting” career.
According to reports though, Banks will executive produce and star in the Life-Size sequel for the Disney Channel. There’s no word on whether Lohan will return for the role.
The Disney Channel has confirmed to EW that it’s currently developing a sequel to Life-Size, the 2000 TV movie that starred a young, fresh-faced Lindsay Lohan as a lonely girl (whose mother is dead) who accidentally brings a Barbie-like doll (played by Tyra Banks) to life.
Banks is on board to reprise her role as Eve, the toy-turned-mother-figure; she’ll executive produce the sequel as well.
And yes, Life-Size 2 will also feature a new version of Be a Star, the inspirational song Banks’s character sang in the first film.
There’s no word yet on whether Lohan will show up for the sequel as well… but considering those scathing Liz & Dick reviews, the actress might welcome an opportunity to take shelter in Mickey’s arms. – via Entertainment Weekly.
