VIDEO Kordell Stewart denies gay rumours on Ryan Cameron Morning Show
In response to Porsha Stewart suggesting that her estranged husband, Kordell Stewart, is a closeted gay man, the former NFL player has given an interview with the Ryan Cameron Morning Show in Atlanta.
“He had no reason to divorce me,” said Porsha, on last week’s Real Housewives of Atlanta. “There were definitely times in the marriage that Kordell didn’t necessarily want me, physically, and that made me wonder, what does he want?”
She later clarified in the same episode, “When we first got together, I asked him about rumours of him being gay, because family members were bringing it up to me and friends were asking me about it, and he explained it away… I didn’t question whether he was gay or not because someone else said it. Any reasons that I questioned it were things I had experienced or seen.”
There have been rumours for months, and Kordell has always denied it. And now he’s denying it again in a new radio interview.
“No!” insisted Kordell when asked whether he had ever been with another man. “I promise you on my life and everything that I’m a part of including my son, and on my father who’s no longer here, that that has never happened, nor will anything ever come up… ever come up with no dude. About me and nothing… People can say what they want to say.”
“When my wife tells me she does what she wanna do because she’s out doing what she’s doing for whatever reason she’s choosing to do it, when I allowed Bravo in the house,” said Kordell.
“I went against the grain of what I represent,” Kordell added, of being on the Real Housewives of Atlanta at all.
“I’m private,” he insisted, “I had to compromise everything about my manhood from the standpoint of , ‘Okay, I’m going to let my wife do what she do…and that’s it.’”
He added, of the breakdown of his family (Porsha, his estranged wife, and a son from a previous relationship) and claims Porsha was a bad wife and stepmother, “So when you come out your mouth and show that type of disrespect, you have no idea how much that burnt me up inside. To know that I’ve been about team concepts all my life… I’m all about everybody pulling their weight, everybody doing their part. The person that suffers if people don’t pull their weight is the child.”
