Oprah’s Next Chapter Preview: Watch Oprah Ask About Kim Kardashian Sex Tape

June 15, 2012 by Hollywoodite

Another preview of Oprah’s Next Chapter has been released in which Oprah Winfrey asks the Kardashians and the Jenners (and Scott Disick and Lamar Odom) why they’re famous, whether they’re being pimped, whether Kim Kardashian would be so famous without her tape, and whether her second marriage was fake.

Also in the interview, Rob Kardashian says his sisters are great role models (yes, deals with Vivid Entertainment, social climbing, publicity stunts, and cherry-picking from the NBA/ Billboard Charts or wherever, is what their impressionable fans should aspire to): “They’re not skinny women… They’re not models here… I am just saying you’re great role models for women, young girls.”

Kim joins in: “I don’t think it would have happened if we were all like, skinny, pretty models. I think it has to do with us, the curves, the dark hair. I think it was a combination of… I remember when the wave of Jennifer Lopez and Salma Hayek and these beautiful Hispanic women came to light and I looked up to them and I loved them, but then I was like, ‘Where are like Middle Eastern women?’ I think we kind of helped that category or helped broaden that… People just have it. I can’t explain what it is.”

Asked whether Kris Jenner is a “pimp,” the the 31-year-old continues: “I think that’s so ridiculous because first of all, we’d have to hire a manager. Regardless, someone is going to get that [cut of our income]. No one will fight harder for you than your own mother. She knows us, she knows all of our moods… We just get each other, we vibe, it works.”

Earlier, Kim shared a photo of herself and the host on Twitter with the caption: “Ummmm no big deal Oprah just left my mom’s house! #DreamComeTrue.’

Kourtney Kardashian also tweeted: “Surreal day being interviewed by the queen Oprah. Not many words to explain how incredible the experience was except for AHHH! Major moment.”

Winfrey, 58, shared a photo of the entire family on Facebook while admitting she had not seen the show before, opting instead to cram for the interview by watching major shows from each season.

Ok my friends I had the longest interviewing session I can ever recall, talking to ALLLLLLLL the Kardashians. I had never met them, nor seen the show. I did a full on Kardashian Kram in preparation, watching major shows from every season. I genuinely wanted to know why they have become a cultural phenomenon? Why do so many people love to watch their every move and why do so many others love to hate them. Are they completely ego centered? Are they really “famous for being famous” or is there something more?

I “GOT IT” … those answers & more. Those of you who watch the show know they hold nothing back. This interview I’d say was another level of forthrightness and honesty. Who surprised me the most? Scott. Lamar and Khloe. Kim.

Everyone who’s asked was the marriage a publicity stunt? Why did she leave after 72 days? Her answer leveled me.

Please note that this show will air Sunday at 8/7 central not its usual time. Followed by Part 2 of my conversation with 50 Cent at 9/8c where he talks about things you wouldn’t imagine coming from him. Meditation. Outgrowing his audience. What really matters now. I had a great eye opening experience with him and released a lot of my preconceived notions and judgement. I’m loving this NEXT CHAPTER I get to do for myself what I intended for you the audience: Open the heart space, expand the way we see things, especially each other. – via Oprah’s Facebook.
