Watch Kardashians Discuss Kris Jenner’s Affair In Momager Dearest Episode

May 28, 2012 by Hollywoodite

Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian discuss Kris Jenner’s affair(s) at length on Keeping Up With The Kardashian season seven episode two, Momager Dearest. Which is one of the two episodes airing this Memorial Day weekend. Although, the May 28 episode, Everybody’s Wigging Out (literally an episode about the family wearing wigs for no reason) looks to be incredibly asinine miss-able filler. More than usual, that is. So let’s ignore that for now and make this a recap of only Sunday’s episode.

The Momager Dearest episode focuses on Jenner’s infidelity that broke up her first marriage to Robert Kardashian Sr. and exacerbated the lingering paternity drama with daughter Khloe Kardashian. In the episode, we’re led to believe that Kourtney is the only sister who takes issue with her mother’s sleeping around in the late 80s/ early 90s, about which Jenner bragged in her memoir to bolster sales.

In Jenner’s divorce papers from nearly 20 years ago, it’s suggested that the marital split affected all three Kardashian sisters. And, in this episode, it’s clarified it affected the eldest the most (presumably because she was old enough to understand it and retain the grudge).

“Kourtney has always been the toughest critic on me,” explains Jenner. “And ever since I wrote my book, it seems to be bringing up a lot of emotions for everyone involved.”

“I had no idea that something from my behavior in the past would have such a profound effect on Kourtney today,” Jenner continues. “But the fact that she’s doing something about it and opening up to me is pretty fabulous.”

Confronted, Jenner blithely dismisses the affair as a mistake; something to be swept under the rug, devoid of real contrition, remorse, or accountability.

“I don’t understand how you could do that to your family,” says Kourtney Kardashian, referring to the cheating that divided the family in divorce.

“Are you going to punish me for the rest of my life because of something I did 25 years ago?” Jenner responds.

“I didn’t do something on purpose specifically to hurt you,” Jenner continues. “I was too young and stupid to make a good decision. If I had to do it all over again obviously I wouldn’t do it.”

Kourtney closes down,  countering: “I don’t want to keep talking about this. I just don’t relate to this and I don’t understand it.”

Incidentally, Jenner wasn’t some dumb kid at the time. She says in her book, she was about 30-year-old when the affair happened: that made her an adult, in complete control of her faculties, who should have known better. She just didn’t care.
