What Does Jennifer Lopez See In Boyfriend Casper Smart?

It appears that people are still reaching for reasons that Jennifer Lopez is slumming with Casper Smart, the 24-year-old backing-dancer who demonstrates that Lopez probably learned nothing from her marriage to former backing-dancer Chris Judd (married from 2001 to 2002 and with whom she appeared in the Love Don’t Cost a Thing, Play, I’m Real, and I’m Gonna Be Alright music videos).

There have been a lot of reports about Lopez and her relationship with Smart. All from the tabloids. All of them painting Smart as opportunistic, with a five-figure stipend, and the intent to insidiously work his way into Lopez’s life even starting a family with her if need be.

But they’re very attached. She takes him everywhere. She took him to a Vogue photo shoot and people expected them to walk together at the weekend’s Oscars (she walked alone, but met him after for the Vanity Fair party).

None of the stories have been flattering. They all highlight the age gap, the lifestyle gap, the looks gap, the everything gap. There’s a question of what they have in common and why Lopez is rushing into her rebound with her twins in tow.

And now Us Weekly has attempted to answer the question of “Whatever did/does she see in him?”

People scoffed that Casper Smart was just a backup dancer when Jennifer Lopez chose him as her arm candy last November, but the diva saw something more.

“He had swagger, and the confidence to ask her out,” says a source close to Jennifer. And Smart, 24, knew how to seize the moment, says the pal. “Who does she meet when she works all the time? Her dancers. It’s not like she’s meeting guys on JDate!” – via Us Weekly Magazine.
