The Creators of Family Guy Admit They’re Killing Off one of the Griffin Family Next Season

July 29, 2013 by Hollywoodite

Family Guy is going through some major changes, in all likelihood, in order to not get cancelled or moved to another network like its weaker spin-offs. The Cleveland Show has been cancelled altogether and American Dad has been relegated to TBS from 2014.

In 2014, Family Guy is throwing down the gauntlet with The Simpsons, of which it’s a reductive version and outright copy but apparently The Simpsons animators who literally used the word “plagiarism” in The Italian Bob episode to describe Family Guy and American Dad have gotten over it. Following a few years of guest spots on each others’ shows, a full-out crossover episode is in the works. The episode will be called The Simpsons Guy in which the Griffins take a road trip and end up in Springfield and the families get to know each other.

Another big change, producers confirmed at Comic-Con that they’re killing off one of the family! It’s your guess who’s going to be killed and who will replace the character but here is video of the panel discussing the changes.
