Why Doesn’t Jon Gosselin Pay Child Support?

The days of Jon and Kate Plus Eight are long over, but Jon Gosselin is making headline once again.
He sat down with Brooke Anderson on Entertainment Tonight (via Us Weekly), to talk about how his life has changed since the show ended. He also talks about what his relationship with his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, is like now (they do not speak to each other at all).
As reported earlier, he confirmed in the interview that he is waiting tables in Beckersville , PA after the National Enquirer broke the news. It was also revealed in the interview that he is now living in a cabin in the woods with no internet or cable, different from the 1.3 million dollar house he was living in during the show.
He tells Brooke that, ”I don’t have a relationship with Kate. There is no relationship. Text and email. That’s it, noting that it’s been that way for four years. The two don’t even cross paths when Gosselin goes to pick up their children. The nanny comes out and I exchange the kids at her gate or at the bus stop. I don’t physically see her.”
Jon also brings up the issue of child support saying that he does not pay Kate any because they take care of everything for their kids separately. He explains, ”[Kate and I] both support [the children] financially because she takes care of school and all that stuff, but I take care of the exact same things she takes care of. I buy their own groceries. They have their own groceries at my house, their own bedrooms, their own stuff. It’s doubled.”
