Brooke Mueller Will Be Able to Get Her Kids Back Under a Few Conditions
July 19, 2013 by Mike Siegel
Although she may have an ultimatum, at least Brooke Mueller may be able to obtain custody of her kids again.
Sources close to the LA County Department of Children and Family Services have reported to TMZ that officials will go back to court in six-to-12 months and petition for 35-year-old Mueller to get back some custodial rights if, and only if, she proves that she is sober and fit to parent. The department is handing Mueller exactly five conditions that, if met, will warrant her rights to get back custody.
In order to get her kids back, after losing custody in May, the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen must primarily attend Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, as she is living in a rehab facility now. Secondly, she must listen to all of her doctor’s orders and show that she can handle ordinary stress without returning to a worse state of mind. The third condition requires her to keep up a positive relationship with her children; and since she is currently in rehab, she must do so through Skype calls. That last prerequisite seems a bit obvious, don’t you think? TMZ did not specifically report the last two conditions for Mueller, but they have definitely been made official for Mueller.
Mueller will be observed by Children Services administrators to guarantee that she stays sober and meets the aforementioned conditions. In the long run, approximately six-to-12 months, the judge will make the ultimate decision as to whether or not she is deserving of obtaining custody. Her children are currently living with Sheen’s other ex-wife 42-year-old Denise Richards, TMZ reported.
Let’s see if Mueller will get her act together and prove to the court that she is ready to parent again.
