March 12, 2013 by Hollywoodite

Two different women were caught this week trying to sell their minor children. The first, Misty VanHorn, 22, above, allegedly tried to sell her toddler children for cash using Facebook.

Putting her significant other ahead of her own babies, as we’ve seen so many times before, VanHorn was reportedly trying to earn bail money to get her boyfriend out of jail. Having asked for “$1,000 for her two-year-old and $4,000 for her four-year-old,” VanHorn is being held on $40,000 bond herself.

According to reports, VanHorn previously went door-to-door soliciting donations. “She was going door to door, here to all the way across town asking everybody for money to get him out,” said Tony Mosby, a neighbor. When donations didn’t cut it, she turned to Facebook where she contacted another woman and asked for a total of $5,000 for the kids.

Police charged VanHorn with trafficking children and her bail has been set at $40,000. The children are currently in the custody of the state of Oklahoma, where their mother was arrested.

In even more terrible mothering news, a different woman tried to sell her baby to a predator.

Natisha Hillard, left, tried to sell her baby to predator Christopher Bour, right.

Natisha Hillard, 24, sold her 18-month-old daughter for an undisclosed amount of money to a 39-year-old man, Christopher Bour, whom she met through an Internet dating service. Hillard allegedly knew that Bour intended to use the girl in illegal videos.

The FBI became involved when Bour told another woman of his plans to abuse the child. The FBI assumed the identity of the other woman, a masseuse, and texted to ask for more information. Bour replied that he had done it before and that the mother, Hillard, approved.

Authorities subsequently raided his home, seized even more homemade videos, and charged the young mother with selling her child for the purpose of making the videos.
